ASN Scientific Sessions & Annual Meeting programming at Experimental Biology 2017 will be hosted at the McCormick Place Convention Center- South Building and the Hilton Chicago, ASN’s headquarter hotel.

All sleeping room requests for Experimental Biology are handled by the EB2017 Housing Bureau, Experient.  Book your hotel reservation early for best availability and to secure your preferred hotel.  The housing deadline is Friday, March 31, 2017.

Chicago Airports

 O’Hare International Airport: Located 17 miles from downtown, is one of the largest airports in the world. It is North America’s major international gateway airport, servicing over 67 million passengers to and from over 200 destinations around the globe

Midway International Airport: Located 10 miles from downtown Chicago and offers another convenient travel option for visitors.  It is the nation’s premier point-to-point airport, offering value-oriented leisure and business travel to over 60 destinations.

GROUND TRANSPORTATION

Taxi Service: Both airports offer plentiful taxi service to downtown and the suburbs. Rates range from $40 – $50 from O’Hare, and $30 – $40 from Midway. Rates vary based on travel time and are subject to change.

Shuttle Service

International Attendees

ASN welcomes its nutrition science colleagues from around the world to attend its Scientific Sessions & Annual Meeting at Experimental Biology 2017 in Chicago, IL.

Entering the United States: Visitors traveling to the United States from all countries (including the visa waiver countries) are required to register personal details online at least three (3) days in advance of travel. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) is a free, automated system used to determine the eligibility of visitors to travel to the United States. It collects the same information as the paper I-94W form you usually complete enroute to the United States. ESTA applications may be submitted at any time prior to travel. An ESTA authorization generally will be valid for up to two years. DHS recommends that travelers submit an ESTA application as soon as they begin travel plans. Click here for further details.

Meeting attendees are encouraged to apply for visas as early possible. Registration refunds will not be issued after (Date TBD) for denied visas.

Applying for a Visa: Meeting attendees are encouraged to apply for visas as early as possible. Registration refunds will not be issued for denied visas. As part of security procedures, applications for visas are sent to the State Department for a security review. For further information, visit the State Department web site. You can also visit the International Visitors Office website. We advise scientists traveling to the United States to apply for a visa as early as possible; at least three months before visa is needed. Please check with your local U.S. consulate or embassy to find out the earliest that you may apply for a visa.
