Discussion

Description: The China Interest Group (CIG) of the American Society for Nutrition (ASN) was established in 2013 and led by Dr. Xingen Lei and Dr. Huanbiao Mo. Since its establishment, the CIG has received full supports from both the Chinese Nutrition Society (CNS) and the North American Chinese Society for Nutrition (NACSN). For a third year, the CIG, CNS and NACSN will co-sponsor the China International Forum. This session will emphasize collaborative activities related to nutrition policy, training programs, and research enhancement. Invited speakers will represent both the CNS and the NACSN to discuss specifically on how the NACSN promotes the involvement of the CNS in ASN activities and how the NACSN and the CNS collaborate on enhancing the CNS’s training programs for young nutrition professionals. In addition, the invited presentations will also discuss how the CNS/ASN/NACSN work together to promote and accomplish their common interests/goals on improving global health through nutrition approaches.
