There has been much attention focused on the quality of nutrition research as well as the impact of private funding on research.  The American Society for Nutrition, ILSI North America, the National Academy of Sciences’ Food and Nutrition Board, and the Canadian Nutrition Society are conducting a plenary session to explore key issues that impact the nutrition research landscape seek strategies to improve the research enterprise. We aim to move towards a common understanding that advances the very best nutrition research while maintaining the public’s confidence in the nutrition science community and research that seeks to advance public health.
