Nutrition 2020 Attendee Update on Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The American Society for Nutrition is actively evaluating the most recent developments concerning coronavirus. We support evidence-based efforts underway to help slow the spread of the virus and reduce the impact. We are in close communication with authorities in Seattle. We are also monitoring governmental and institutional restrictions on public gatherings and travel as well as changes in academic education.
ASN has served the nutrition community for almost 100 years, driving advancement of science and supporting the passionate people who work so hard to improve health around the world. Nutrition 2020 is important to this mission. However, we recognize that the concern about coronavirus is real and we take those concerns very seriously. ASN will always act in the best interest of our community.
We are proceeding to plan for Nutrition 2020 to take place as scheduled, May 30 – June 2, 2020 at the Washington State Convention Center, Seattle, WA.
Over the coming weeks ASN’s Presidential Line will continue to review all guidance. We will provide another status update by April 1, 2020. Any changes to the status of Nutrition 2020 will be posted on this page and communicated immediately to all registered meeting attendees and participants.
We are exceedingly grateful to the nutrition community for your commitment and passion to advance the science and practice of nutrition as evidenced by the record numbers of registrations received daily even during this unprecedented situation. It is in times like these the real value and importance of science comes to the forefront. We appreciate your support as together we make every reasonable effort to preserve our ability to come together at our flagship meeting.
