The American Society for Nutrition’s annual flagship meeting, Nutrition 2019, will be held June 8-11, 2019 at the Baltimore Convention Center, located in the heart of Baltimore, MD. Baltimore is easily accessible by plane, train, or highway.

By Air

Airports

Three major airports service Baltimore: Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI), Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA).

BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport is conveniently located 15 minutes from the Baltimore Convention Center and Nutrition 2019 official hotels and offers more than 650 flights daily to more than 70 domestic destinations.

By Rail

Amtrak

Amtrak offers rail service from 500 locations in 48 states with 80 trains per day stopping at Baltimore’s downtown Penn Station; serving more than 932,800 guests each year.

MARC Train Service (MARC)

Travelling from the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area?   MARC is a commuter rail system offers that services the Baltimore area.   MARC Service fares vary by distance traveled.

From the Airport

Light Rail

The easiest way to get to the Baltimore Convention Center area from BWI airport is on the light rail.  Board the light rail at Terminal E of the airport and ride for eleven stops until you reach the Convention Center stop or your preferred stop.  A one-way ticket on the light rail costs $1.80. Make sure to check the schedule for when you arrive, as the light rail does not run at all hours.

Taxi Service (from BWI)

BWI taxi stands are located just outside baggage claim on the lower level of the terminal near doors 5 and 13. The approximate one way taxi fare from BWI to the Convention Center is $35.00. For additional information, contact Baltimore Yellow Cab (410-685-1212) or your host hotel’s front desk.

Parking

Baltimore Convention Center Parking

The Baltimore Convention Center does not have a dedicated parking lot. There are a number of affordable garages located throughout downtown Baltimore.

Getting around Baltimore

Charm City Circulator

Travel around Baltimore by bus for free, seven days a week, on the Charm City Circulator.  The free shuttles run every 10 minutes from early morning to late night, seven days a week.  The orange line picks up and drops off right in front of the Baltimore Convention Center (stop 219) and services Hollins Market to Harbor East.

Baltimore Water Taxi

When venturing between neighborhoods around the harbor, try the Baltimore Water Taxi.  Water taxis operate continuous service to more than 35 attractions. Buy tickets on board any blue-and-white water taxi and take advantage of dozens of discounts.
